Prior to the session, we will discuss what your goal is and which style you prefer, reminding you of clothing recommendations appropriate to the portrait session you've chosen and discussing other essential details important to a successful session. Please think of your end result, how you'd like to display and share your images whether as wall portraits, in albums, as a custom designed Storybook and as gifts. We can help you with these details.
It is our goal to create portraits that are natural and seemingly unposed, reflecting the true essence and spirit of your child/children. We create an atmosphere that is warm and inviting as well as casual, relaxed and most importantly fun for all. We take breaks so your children can relax and energize and allow ample time for drinks, feedings or whatever is necessary. Feel free to bring any toys or music that you know your child will enjoy.
Please consider the time of the day your child/children seem to be most awake and happiest when reserving a session appointment. your child becomes sick the night before or the morning of your session, please call to re-schedule and we will apply your deposit to another session. If you bring your child to the session and they are too sick, I reserve the right to cancel the session and deposit will be non refundable.
We gladly allow parents to be a part of the portrait session, but kindly ask you to observe and not put pressure on your children to smile. Children tend to get overwhelmed and distracted when several people are watching and/or trying to get them to smile. I engage your child in conversation, let them play or play with them and allow room for everyone to be silly. |
